Luoyang
Luoyang is one of the oldest cities in China and one of the cradles of Chinese civilization. It is the earliest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. The stylized clouds which are called Xiangyun or Auspicious Clouds have a very long history in Chinese art and appear as early as the Shang Dynasty. This omen of peace in Chinese art influenced miniature art painting throughout Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, India and Pakistan. This type of stylized clouds can also be seen in Japan and South East Asia in Buddhist art. The clip cord is purposefully shown in the front of the fabric to create another layer of contrast and texture.
