Khiva

The ancient city of Khiva was established 2500 years ago and was part of Khorezm culture, which traded closely with the Sogdians.  Khiva is known for its beautiful wool and close ties to the nomadic cultures around the oasis. The perfectly preserved medieval city is in modern day Uzbekistan.
